Ajay Kumar

Ajay Kumar is a left-arm fast-medium bowler who represents the United Arab Emirates and has emerged as an exciting pace option in the country's bowling attack. Born on April 1, 1997, Kumar primarily operates as a specialist bowler and has also gained experience in franchise cricket, representing sides including Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and Deccan Gladiators.

Kumar made his T20I debut for the UAE against Nepal in April 2026 before making his ODI debut against the same opposition just days later. He made an immediate impact in the 50-over format, taking 3/34 on debut before producing an outstanding 6/35 against Oman in his second ODI. Across his first four ODIs, he collected 11 wickets at an average of 15.36, demonstrating his ability to provide breakthroughs while maintaining control with the new and older ball.

With his left-arm angle, pace and ability to strike regularly, Kumar adds a valuable point of difference to the UAE bowling attack.
