Lahiru Kumara

Lahiru Kumara is a right-arm fast bowler from Sri Lanka known for his raw pace, aggressive approach and ability to trouble batters with steep bounce. Capable of regularly bowling at high speeds, Kumara has been one of Sri Lanka’s quickest bowlers across formats and is particularly effective when attacking the stumps or using the short ball. His natural pace gives him the ability to create breakthroughs even on relatively unresponsive surfaces, making him an important strike option whenever he is fit and available.

Kumara made his international debut as a teenager and quickly established himself as an exciting fast-bowling prospect. He has produced several impressive spells in Test cricket, where his combination of speed and movement has made him dangerous with both the new and older ball.
