Megan Schutt

Megan Louise Schutt, born on January 15, 1993, in Adelaide, South Australia, is one of Australia's premier fast-medium bowlers and a mainstay of the national women's cricket team since her debut in 2012. Known for her disciplined line and length, Schutt excels in swinging the ball both ways and generating consistent pace to trouble batters across formats. She made her ODI debut in December 2012 against New Zealand and her Test debut in August 2013. Schutt was the first Australian woman to take a hat-trick in T20 Internationals and became the first female bowler to take two international hat-tricks across formats, underlining her skill as a match-winner with the ball.

Schutt has been a key component of Australia’s bowling attack in multiple ICC tournaments, helping lead them to victories in ICC Women’s World Cups and T20 World Cups. She was the leading wicket-taker in the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup with 13 wickets, including a crucial 4/18 in the final.
