Sharmin Akhter

Sharmin Akhter Supta, born on December 31, 1995, in Gaibandha, Bangladesh, is a right-handed batter who plays for the Bangladesh women's national cricket team. She made her international debut in 2011 in an ODI against Ireland and later her T20 International debut in 2012 against the same team. Sharmin is known for her solid batting technique and has been a key player in Bangladesh's batting lineup for over a decade. She played a pivotal role in Bangladesh's historic Asia Cup win in 2018 and has consistently contributed with crucial innings in major tournaments.

One of her career milestones includes scoring the first-ever century in Women's ODI cricket for Bangladesh, an unbeaten 130 runs against the United States during the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier, showcasing her batting prowess and temperament.
