Richa Ghosh

Richa Manabendra Ghosh, born on September 28, 2003, in Siliguri, West Bengal, is one of India's most explosive young cricketers, known for her attacking batting style and sharp wicketkeeping skills. She made her international debut in February 2020 at the age of 16 during the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Richa quickly rose to prominence with her aggressive batting, and in September 2021, she made her WODI debut against Australia. She has played for the Hobart Hurricanes in the Women’s Big Bash League and was a key member of India’s squad for the 2022 Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.

Richa is the recipient of a central contract from BCCI and was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for ₹1.90 crore in the 2023 Women’s Premier League auction. She made her Women's Test debut in December 2023, scoring a half-century in her first match. Richa holds the record for the fastest fifty for India in T20 Internationals, achieving it in just 18 balls against West Indies in December 2024. Known for her ability to perform under pressure and finish matches, Richa Ghosh continues to be a vital player for India, both with the bat and behind the stumps.
