Tazmin Brits

Tazmin Brits, born on January 8, 1991, in Klerksdorp, South Africa, is a professional cricketer known for her right-handed batting and occasional wicketkeeping. She originally excelled as a javelin thrower, winning gold at the 2007 World Youth Championships, but later transitioned to cricket following a serious car accident that halted her athletics career. Tazmin made her international cricket debut in May 2018 and has since become a vital part of the South African women's cricket team, known for her consistent batting performances in both ODIs and T20Is.

Throughout her career, Brits has been a stable top-order batter, with notable innings including her maiden ODI century against India in March 2022. She was awarded her first central contract by Cricket South Africa ahead of the 2022–23 season and represented South Africa in major tournaments such as the 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup and the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Tazmin also gained experience playing for the South East Stars in England's Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy in 2023, underlining her growing profile in international women's cricket.
