Ailsa Lister

Ailsa Lister is a right-handed wicket-keeper batter from Scotland, born on 8 April 2004 in Elgin, who has quickly become one of the most exciting young talents in the country’s women’s cricket setup. Emerging through Scotland’s age-group system, she first came to prominence with strong performances for Scotland Under-17s, Under-19s and Under-21s, combining safe glovework with lively hitting in the middle and lower order. Her consistent form earned her a place in Scotland’s A side and later the senior team, where she has represented the country across both T20Is and ODIs.

At the international level, Lister debuted in T20Is in May 2021 against Ireland and has since built up a solid record, including multiple half-centuries and a highest score of 68 not out in a dominant win over France during a World Cup regional qualifier. She also made her ODI debut in October 2023 against Ireland and has played a key role in Scotland’s qualification campaigns, including the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Pakistan. Beyond national duty, she has earned county contracts with teams such as Lancashire Thunder and North West Thunder, where she has gained valuable experience in England’s domestic structure and further honed her game as a versatile keeper-batter.
