Sugandika Kumari

Dasanayaka Mudiyanselage Sugandika Manel Kumari, born on October 5, 1991, in Anamaduwa, Sri Lanka, is an accomplished left-handed batter and slow left-arm orthodox bowler for the Sri Lanka women's national cricket team. She made her international debut in January 2015 against Pakistan, quickly making a mark as a reliable bowling all-rounder.

Sugandika has been a key figure in Sri Lanka's bowling attack, specializing in slow left-arm orthodox spin that provides crucial breakthroughs. Over her career, she has played 80 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 57 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), taking over 100 wickets in ODIs with best bowling figures of 5/32 and 75 wickets in T20Is with best figures of 4/15. She has also contributed useful runs in the lower middle order, with over 460 runs in ODIs. Sugandika has featured in prominent tournaments including the 2018 and 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cups, the 2021 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier, and the 2022 Commonwealth Games cricket tournament.
