Anshul Kamboj

Anshul Kamboj is an Indian cricketer from Karnal, Haryana, known for his right-arm fast-medium bowling and ability to contribute with the bat. Born on 6 December 2000, Kamboj developed his reputation as a disciplined pace bowler capable of generating movement off the pitch, maintaining consistent lines and lengths, and troubling batters with his natural bounce. He made his first-class debut for Haryana in February 2022 and gradually established himself as an important member of the state's bowling attack across formats.

Kamboj gained national recognition through his impressive domestic performances, particularly during Haryana's title-winning campaign in the 2023–24 Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he claimed 17 wickets in 10 matches. His defining achievement came in November 2024 when he registered extraordinary bowling figures of 10/49 against Kerala in the Ranji Trophy, becoming only the third bowler in the competition's history to claim all ten wickets in a single innings. His performances also earned him opportunities in the Indian Premier League, initially representing Mumbai Indians in 2024 before joining Chennai Super Kings in 2025.

Kamboj's consistent domestic performances eventually earned him an international breakthrough when he made his Test debut for India against England at Old Trafford, Manchester, on 23 July 2025. He marked the occasion by dismissing England opener Ben Duckett for his maiden international wicket. Primarily valued for his accuracy, seam movement, and ability to extract assistance from different surfaces, Kamboj continues to develop as a versatile pace-bowling all-rounder. His achievements across domestic cricket, the IPL, and his introduction to international cricket have established him as a notable member of India's emerging fast-bowling generation.
