Liam McCarthy

Liam McCarthy is a left handed bowler and lower order batter who has quickly become one of the promising seam options in Ireland’s ODI setup. Born on 2 January 2002 in Johannesburg, South Africa, he moved into Irish cricket through Railway Union and Munster Reds, where his pace, bounce, and ability to maintain discipline with the ball helped him stand out. His background in club and provincial cricket gave him a strong base, and his rise to the senior side reflects the progress he made through Ireland’s domestic pathway.
