Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is an experienced Indian right-arm fast-medium bowler renowned for his ability to swing the ball both ways and trouble batters with precise line and length. Hailing from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, he made his international debut in 2012 and quickly established himself as a dependable option across limited-overs formats. His mastery of conventional swing, clever use of slower deliveries and calm approach under pressure have helped him deliver consistently in powerplays and at the death. Bhuvneshwar has also enjoyed a successful IPL career, winning the Purple Cap twice and becoming one of the competition’s most reliable wicket-taking seamers.

After spending nearly four years away from India’s T20I side, Bhuvneshwar was recalled to the squad for the fifth T20I against the West Indies in October 2026 following Arshdeep Singh’s shoulder injury. His selection underlines the value of his experience, although his participation in the match remained subject to the team’s final decision. Bhuvneshwar’s ability to find movement early and vary his pace later in the innings gives captains a versatile bowling option in different match situations. For fantasy cricket, he can be a valuable pick when conditions favour swing, with early breakthroughs and wickets in the closing overs offering opportunities to collect points.
