Finn Allen

Finn Allen is an explosive right-handed opening batter from New Zealand who has earned a reputation for taking on bowlers from the very first delivery. Born in Auckland, he made his T20I debut in 2021 and quickly caught attention with his fearless stroke play and exceptional ability to clear the boundary. Allen combines quick footwork with powerful hitting, making him particularly dangerous during the powerplay when fielding restrictions create scoring opportunities. His unbeaten 137 against Pakistan in the 2024 T20I series remains one of the standout innings of his international career, underlining his ability to dominate an attack when he finds his rhythm. He has also gained extensive experience through franchise T20 competitions around the world, further sharpening his aggressive approach.

Allen’s primary role is to provide New Zealand with rapid starts and put opposition bowlers under immediate pressure. His willingness to attack both pace and spin can quickly shift the momentum of a match, although his high-risk style sometimes brings inconsistent results. With growing experience at the international level, he has worked to balance his natural aggression with better shot selection and greater consistency. For fantasy cricket, Allen is an exciting top-order option whose ability to score heavily in a short period can deliver substantial returns. His value is particularly high on batting-friendly surfaces, where a successful powerplay can set him up for a match-defining innings.
