Glenn Phillips

Glenn Phillips is a dynamic New Zealand batting all-rounder known for his explosive stroke play, athletic fielding and useful off-spin bowling. A right-handed batter capable of changing the course of a match within a few overs, he has established himself as an important member of the Black Caps across all three international formats. Phillips first gained widespread attention through his performances in T20 cricket before expanding his impact in ODIs and Tests. His memorable century against Sri Lanka at the 2022 T20 World Cup showcased his ability to counter pressure with aggressive batting, while his maiden Test hundred against England at The Oval in 2026 further demonstrated his growing confidence in the longer format.

Phillips offers New Zealand valuable flexibility, as he can accelerate the scoring rate in the middle order, contribute a few overs of off-spin and save crucial runs with his exceptional fielding. His powerful hitting makes him particularly dangerous when the team needs a late-innings surge, while his quick reflexes and spectacular catches can influence a match beyond his batting contributions. He is also known for his inventive shot selection, including his ability to switch batting stances to exploit gaps in the field. For fantasy cricket, Phillips is an appealing all-round option whose batting, occasional bowling and fielding opportunities can provide points through several different avenues.
