Jacob Duffy

Jacob Duffy is a New Zealand right-arm fast-medium bowler who has earned recognition for his consistency, seam movement and ability to find breakthroughs across formats. Hailing from Southland, he began his professional career with Otago at a young age and gradually worked his way into the national setup through strong domestic performances. Duffy made his international debut in 2020 and has since developed into a dependable bowling option for the Black Caps, using disciplined lines and subtle variations to keep batters under pressure. His performances in Test cricket have further demonstrated his ability to maintain accuracy over long spells, while his effectiveness in T20 internationals highlights his adaptability in shorter formats.

Duffy offers New Zealand a reliable pace option who can contribute during different stages of an innings. His ability to move the ball off the seam and target the stumps makes him particularly dangerous when conditions provide assistance to fast bowlers. He has also gained valuable experience through domestic and overseas competitions, strengthening his understanding of different pitches and batting styles. For fantasy cricket, Duffy can be a useful selection because of his potential to pick up wickets through disciplined bowling rather than relying solely on raw pace. His prospects become more attractive on surfaces offering seam movement, especially when he is expected to bowl with the new ball.
