Kyle Jamieson

Kyle Jamieson is a New Zealand right-arm fast bowler and capable lower-order batter whose height and natural bounce make him a challenging opponent for batters. Standing at around 6 feet 8 inches, he can extract extra lift from the surface and generate movement that unsettles players across formats. Jamieson made his international debut in 2020 and quickly made an impression in Test cricket, taking wickets with his disciplined lines and ability to exploit conditions. His performances during New Zealand’s inaugural World Test Championship triumph in 2021 established him as a significant part of the team’s pace attack, while his batting offers useful runs down the order.

Jamieson brings a combination of bounce, seam movement and control that can be especially effective when conditions favour fast bowling. After dealing with recurring back injuries during his career, maintaining fitness and rhythm remains important as he looks to contribute consistently for the Black Caps. His height enables him to create awkward angles and force batters into defensive strokes, while his lower-order batting adds depth to the lineup. For fantasy cricket, Jamieson can offer value through wickets and occasional batting contributions, particularly on surfaces with pace and bounce. His selection is most appealing when he is fit, confirmed in the playing XI and expected to bowl a full workload.
