Michael Bracewell

Michael Bracewell is a left-handed batting all-rounder and right-arm off-spinner who brings versatility and attacking intent to New Zealand’s white-ball setup. He made his international debut in 2022 and quickly caught attention with his ability to change the course of a match through aggressive batting and timely contributions with the ball. One of his most memorable performances came against Ireland in July 2022, when he smashed an unbeaten 127 off just 82 deliveries in an ODI chase, guiding New Zealand to a remarkable victory. Bracewell has since become a valuable member of the Black Caps, contributing across formats and taking on leadership responsibilities when required. His ability to accelerate the scoring rate while offering a reliable spin option makes him a well-rounded cricketer.

Bracewell gives New Zealand useful balance, particularly in limited-overs cricket, where his batting power and off-spin can influence different phases of a game. He is capable of rebuilding an innings after early wickets or launching an aggressive counterattack when the team needs quick runs. With the ball, he uses changes in pace and trajectory to challenge batters, while his experience in international and franchise competitions has strengthened his tactical awareness. For fantasy cricket, Bracewell offers value as a multi-skill player, with opportunities to earn points through runs, wickets and fielding contributions. His potential is especially attractive when he is expected to bat in the middle order and bowl a meaningful spell.
