Tim Seifert

Tim Seifert is a right-handed wicketkeeper-batter from New Zealand known for his attacking approach and ability to score quickly at the top of the order. He made his international debut in 2018 and has since become a familiar presence in the Black Caps’ T20 setup, combining aggressive stroke play with dependable work behind the stumps. Seifert is particularly effective against pace, using quick hands and clean ball-striking to find boundaries in the powerplay. His experience in franchise leagues around the world has helped him develop a versatile game, allowing him to adapt to different pitches and bowling styles. Alongside his international commitments, he has remained a consistent performer in domestic T20 competitions.

Seifert provides New Zealand with flexibility in the batting order, whether opening the innings or contributing from the middle order when required. His ability to attack early can give the team momentum, while his wicketkeeping adds another dimension to his overall contribution. He is comfortable taking calculated risks against both pace and spin, making him a useful option when the side needs to increase the scoring rate. For fantasy cricket, Seifert offers dual value through his batting and wicketkeeping, with opportunities to collect points from runs, catches and stumpings. He becomes especially attractive when selected near the top of the order on a surface that favours stroke play.
