Duan Jansen

Duan Jansen is a left-arm seam-bowling all-rounder who has earned a call-up to South Africa’s ODI squad for the three-match series against Australia. The 24-year-old was brought into the squad as a replacement for the injured Ottneil Baartman and joins his twin brother Marco Jansen in the Proteas setup. Duan has been making steady progress in international cricket and recently impressed on South Africa’s white-ball tour of Namibia, finishing as the leading wicket-taker in the T20I tri-series with 11 wickets in four matches. He also claimed five wickets in the first two ODIs against Namibia before being rested for the final game.

Jansen offers South Africa another left-arm pace option who can create problems with his angle, bounce and ability to vary his deliveries.
