Left Arm Fast Medium

Ben Dwarshuis is an experienced Australian left-arm fast-medium bowler representing Birmingham Phoenix in the 2026 Men’s Hundred. He generates useful pace and bounce from his tall frame, while his left-arm angle gives the Phoenix attack valuable variety. Dwarshuis has previously represented Birmingham Phoenix and Northern Superchargers, so he already understands the tactical demands of the 100-ball competition.

Dwarshuis is capable of contributing throughout an innings, taking the new ball, controlling the middle sets and bowling under pressure at the death. His experience with Sydney Sixers has established him as one of the Big Bash League’s most productive wicket-takers, while his variations and ability to attack the stumps make him particularly effective in short-format cricket. He can also strike powerful boundaries from the lower order when required.

For Birmingham Phoenix, Dwarshuis offers an experienced wicket-taking option who could be trusted with several of the most important sets. His fantasy value will largely depend on his inclusion in the playing XI, but regular new-ball and death-bowling responsibilities would give him multiple opportunities to collect wickets. His ability to contribute with the bat and in the field adds further value in the Men’s Hundred.
