Cooper Connolly

Cooper Connolly is a talented left-handed all-rounder who adds plenty of versatility to Australia’s squad for the ODI series against Zimbabwe. The Western Australian has already established himself across formats despite being relatively young, making his ODI debut in 2024 and earning his Test debut the following year. He arrives in Zimbabwe after an outstanding ODI series against Bangladesh, where he scored 184 runs across three matches, including a superb 149 in the third ODI.

Connolly’s ability to contribute with both bat and ball makes him an intriguing option for Australia in the middle order. He can play aggressively when the situation demands it, while his left-arm spin provides an additional bowling option for Mitchell Marsh. His excellent 149 against Bangladesh will give him considerable confidence heading into the three-match series in Harare. For fantasy cricket, Connolly is particularly appealing because his all-round skill set creates multiple avenues for points, and his recent ODI form makes him a player worth keeping an eye on.
