Ali Hasan
Ali Hasan is a left-arm fast-medium bowler who provides Italy with a valuable angle and a genuine wicket-taking option in T20 cricket. His natural left-arm variation immediately creates different lines for batters to negotiate, while his best performances have come through disciplined lengths and the ability to keep the scoring rate under control. As a specialist bowler, his primary role is to create pressure and make breakthroughs rather than contribute heavily with the bat.
Hasan made his T20I debut for Italy against Greece in 2022 and has since developed into a regular member of their bowling attack. His progress took him onto the sport's biggest stage at the 2026 T20 World Cup, where he faced established international batting lineups and continued to contribute wickets. His early international record has been notable for combining wicket-taking with a relatively controlled economy rate, an especially useful quality in the shortest format.
Still in the early stages of his career, Hasan has room to expand his range of variations and become effective across more phases of an innings. Left-arm seamers are particularly valuable in T20 squad construction because they offer a different release point and can create favourable matchups against both right- and left-handed batters. That profile gives Hasan the potential to become an increasingly important bowler as he gains more experience against high-level opposition.
