Bas de Leede

Bas de Leede is a highly valuable Netherlands all-rounder who combines assertive right-handed batting with right-arm fast-medium bowling. He is capable of batting in the top or middle order and has the technique to construct an innings as well as the power to accelerate. With the ball, his ability to hit the pitch, use variations and contribute genuine wicket-taking overs gives the Netherlands an important seam option without sacrificing batting depth.

De Leede has been a regular in the Netherlands T20I side since making his debut in 2018 and has featured in several global tournaments. His T20 record reflects his dual contribution, with substantial runs and wickets at international level, while experience in English county cricket and franchise competitions has exposed him to high-quality opposition in different conditions. That breadth of experience has helped him develop into one of the most complete cricketers in the Dutch setup.

In T20 cricket, de Leede's versatility is arguably his greatest strength. He can be used to attack with the bat, rebuild after early wickets or provide a seam option through the middle overs depending on team requirements. His athletic fielding adds another layer of value, and because he influences all three disciplines, he gives captains far greater freedom when selecting their bowling combination and deciding how deep the batting order should run.
