David Rushmere is a South African-born right-handed wicketkeeper-batter known for his composed approach at the crease and ability to build substantial innings. Born on 4 March 1999 in Port Elizabeth, Rushmere developed through South African domestic cricket and represented Boland at List A level, where he scored 61 runs from his first two appearances, including a half-century.

Rushmere has particularly impressed in Dutch domestic cricket, emerging as a prolific run-scorer for Hermes DVS in the Topklasse. He made an immediate impact in the 2026 season by scoring 169 on his Topklasse debut, setting a competition record for the highest individual score by a player on debut.
