Tim David

Tim David is a powerful right-handed middle-order batter whose career has been built around the specialised demands of T20 cricket. Standing tall at the crease and possessing exceptional hitting power, he is primarily used as a finisher, often entering with only a handful of overs remaining and being asked to find the boundary immediately. His ability to clear straight and leg-side boundaries, combined with improved options against wide yorkers and slower balls, makes him particularly dangerous at the death.

Born in Singapore and raised in Perth, David initially represented Singapore in T20 internationals before becoming eligible for and subsequently representing Australia. His reputation was forged through franchise cricket, where he has appeared in major competitions including the IPL, Big Bash League, PSL, CPL, The Hundred, SA20 and Major League Cricket. That global experience has exposed him to a wide range of bowling styles and conditions and established him as one of the most recognisable specialist finishers in the format.

David can also provide occasional right-arm off-spin, although his primary value lies in his batting and athletic fielding. In T20 cricket he is most effective when given the freedom to attack from the moment he arrives, but he has also developed the ability to manage chases when wickets fall around him. His combination of reach, strength and extensive franchise experience gives any middle order a genuine boundary-hitting threat through the closing overs.
