Zainullah Ihsan

Zainullah Ihsan is a right-arm fast-medium bowler who brings genuine pace and youthful energy to Scotland's T20 attack. His ability to hurry batters and hit the pitch hard makes him an attacking option, while his developing variations give him the potential to operate in several phases of an innings.

Afghan-born Ihsan qualified to represent Scotland and received his first senior call-up for the 2026 T20 World Cup. His selection followed strong impressions at youth and Scotland A level, where his pace and range of skills marked him out as one of the more exciting emerging seamers in the system.

For T20 cricket, Ihsan's upside lies in his ability to take wickets rather than merely defend. As he gains experience against top-level batters, improved control at the death and greater use of slower balls can make him an increasingly versatile weapon for Scotland.
