Chris Wood

Chris Wood is a left-arm fast-medium bowler whose T20 career has been built around new-ball control and intelligent death bowling. He uses angle, cutters and well-disguised slower deliveries rather than relying on extreme pace, allowing him to remain effective on a wide range of surfaces.

Wood has been a long-serving performer in English domestic cricket, particularly with Hampshire, and has accumulated extensive experience in the T20 Blast and The Hundred. Years of bowling in high-scoring competitions have given him a strong understanding of how to defend boundaries and manipulate batters into hitting to larger areas.

His left-arm variation is valuable in the powerplay, while his experience makes him dependable when the ball becomes softer late in the innings. Wood is the type of T20 bowler whose effectiveness comes from clarity, control and the ability to execute plans under sustained pressure.
