Daryl Mitchell

Daryl Mitchell is a powerful and adaptable right-handed batter who has become one of New Zealand's most reliable performers in pressure situations. In T20 cricket he can operate anywhere from the top order to the finishing positions, using strong straight hitting, excellent running and the ability to target specific bowlers.

Mitchell has featured in major ICC tournaments and franchise competitions, including the IPL, where his composure and versatility have been highly valued. He played a major role in New Zealand's run to the 2021 T20 World Cup final, most notably with an unbeaten match-winning innings in the semi-final against England.

His right-arm medium pace can provide occasional overs, but his primary value is his ability to solve difficult batting situations. Mitchell can rebuild, accelerate or finish depending on what the innings requires, making him one of the most tactically flexible batters in a T20 lineup.
