Matthew Hollard

Matthew Hollard is a right-arm medium-fast bowler who has emerged through Ireland's domestic system as an increasingly important seam option. His T20 approach is built around hitting disciplined areas, using changes of pace and remaining accurate when batters are looking to attack.

Hollard's performances in domestic cricket earned him a central contract and a place in Ireland's senior T20I plans in 2026. He was part of the group selected for the home series against India and produced an important three-wicket spell in Ireland's memorable series-clinching victory.

For T20 cricket, Hollard's value lies in reliability and the ability to support more attacking bowlers without becoming passive. As he develops greater experience at international level, improved death-over variations can make him an increasingly complete option across all phases of an innings.
