Sanjay Krishnamurthi

Sanjay Krishnamurthi is a right-handed batting all-rounder who also bowls slow left-arm orthodox spin, giving him an unusual and useful T20 skill combination. With the bat he is capable of playing aggressively through the middle and lower order, while his spin offers a matchup option against right-handed batters.

Krishnamurthi has developed through cricket in the United States and gained valuable exposure in Major League Cricket. His performances in the American domestic system have shown his ability to contribute in more than one discipline and to handle the faster tempo of professional T20 competition.

For a T20 side, his versatility can be especially valuable because he allows captains to extend the batting without losing a bowling option. Continued experience against higher-level opposition should help him sharpen both his finishing game and the control of his left-arm spin.
