Andries Gous

Andries Gous is a right-handed wicketkeeper-batter who plays with the aggressive intent required at the top of a T20 order. He is strong through the off side, capable of clearing the boundary and comfortable taking on pace during the powerplay, while also possessing the technique to bat deeper into an innings.

South African-born Gous established himself in American cricket and became a key part of the USA national side, including at the 2024 T20 World Cup. He has also played in Major League Cricket and other franchise competitions, giving him repeated exposure to high-level short-format bowling.

His combination of top-order power and wicketkeeping makes him a valuable T20 package. Gous can set the tempo early, maintain pressure once the field spreads and provide a reliable option behind the stumps, allowing teams to use an additional specialist elsewhere in the XI.
