Charlie Tear

Charlie Tear is a right-handed wicketkeeper-batter who has developed through Scotland's youth and domestic pathways. His T20 game is based on tidy technique, quick scoring options and the ability to adapt to different batting positions, while his wicketkeeping adds important flexibility to a squad.

Tear has represented Scotland at age-group level and progressed into the senior national setup, earning recognition as one of the country's emerging wicketkeeper-batters. He was included among Scotland's reserves around the 2026 T20 World Cup, reflecting his growing standing within the system.

In T20 cricket, his ability to cover both batting and wicketkeeping roles makes him particularly useful. As he gains more senior experience, the development of a more expansive boundary game can complement his technical base and turn him into a versatile short-format option.
