Mitchell Santner

Mitchell Santner is a highly skilled left-arm spin all-rounder whose control and tactical intelligence have made him one of New Zealand's most dependable T20 players. He varies pace and trajectory subtly, rarely gives batters easy hitting options and can be trusted against both right- and left-handed lineups.

Santner has represented New Zealand in numerous global tournaments and has also played extensively in franchise cricket, including the IPL. His ability to perform under pressure has made him a regular choice in important matches, while his calm lower-order batting has produced several valuable finishes.

Few T20 players offer his combination of control, fielding and lower-order batting. Santner can squeeze the scoring rate through the middle overs, attack favourable matchups and then contribute with the bat, making him an ideal balancing player and an experienced leadership option.
