Sean Solia

Sean Solia is a left-handed batting all-rounder who brings extensive New Zealand domestic experience to Samoa's T20 setup. He is capable of opening the batting or operating in the middle order, using strong fundamentals and controlled aggression, while his medium-fast bowling provides an additional option.

Solia spent many seasons with Auckland across formats before representing Samoa in international T20 cricket. In 2026 he became one of the first Samoan players to secure an overseas franchise opportunity, joining the European T20 Premier League and taking Samoan cricket onto a new stage.

His experience is particularly valuable for a developing T20 nation because he understands how to construct innings and manage pressure against professional attacks. Solia can provide leadership with the bat, support the bowling if required and offer the kind of all-round versatility that improves squad balance.
