Duan Jansen

Duan Jansen is a tall left-arm fast bowler who generates steep bounce and a difficult angle from his height. In T20 cricket he can challenge batters with hard lengths and pace, while his ability to swing the ball adds further threat when conditions favour the new ball.

Jansen has developed through South African domestic cricket and gained franchise experience in competitions such as the SA20 and Major League Cricket. Exposure to professional T20 environments has helped him refine the variations required when batters are constantly looking to attack.

His height and left-arm angle make him naturally awkward to face, particularly on pitches that offer bounce. As his control and slower-ball repertoire continue to improve, Jansen has the tools to become a useful all-phase pace option.
