Finn Allen

Finn Allen is one of the most destructive opening batters in T20 cricket, combining exceptional bat speed with an ultra-aggressive approach from the first ball. He looks to clear the infield immediately and is capable of hitting both pace and spin for six without needing a lengthy settling period.

Allen has represented New Zealand extensively in T20 internationals and has played franchise cricket around the world. His international career includes a record-breaking 137 against Pakistan in 2024, an innings that showcased the extraordinary six-hitting ceiling he brings to the format.

His role is to maximise the powerplay and create a scoring rate that changes the match before the middle overs begin. That approach carries risk, but when Allen succeeds he can produce game-defining innings in a very short space of time.
