Kamindu Mendis

Kamindu Mendis is a versatile left-handed batter who offers the rare ability to bowl spin with either arm, although his batting is his primary T20 strength. He is technically strong against spin, uses the crease intelligently and can shift from accumulation to boundary-hitting as an innings develops.

Kamindu has established himself in Sri Lanka's international setup across formats and has also gained franchise experience. His composure and range have made him particularly useful in middle-order roles where a batter must often enter against spin and immediately assess the required tempo.

In T20 cricket, his adaptability is a major asset. He can stabilise an innings, attack favourable matchups and provide occasional spin overs if needed, giving a side both batting quality and additional tactical flexibility.
