Oliver Davidson

Oliver Davidson is a slow left-arm orthodox spinner who has emerged as an important young option for Scotland. He bowls with control, varies his pace and is comfortable attacking the stumps, attributes that can make him difficult to line up in T20 cricket.

Davidson progressed through Scotland's domestic and development structure before earning senior recognition, including selection for the 2026 T20 World Cup squad. His rise reflected the value Scotland placed on having a specialist left-arm spinner capable of operating in subcontinental conditions.

In T20 cricket, his natural angle gives him useful matchups against right-handed batters while his control can restrict scoring through the middle overs. As he gains experience, greater confidence in attacking fields and variations should increase his wicket-taking threat.
