Faf du Plessis

Faf du Plessis is a vastly experienced right-handed top-order batter whose fitness, timing and ability to accelerate have kept him highly effective in T20 cricket. He combines classical strokeplay with strong power-hitting and is particularly dangerous once he has established himself through the powerplay.

Du Plessis represented South Africa for many years and has enjoyed a long franchise career in the IPL, CPL, SA20, Major League Cricket and other competitions. He has captained numerous sides, bringing extensive tactical experience and a proven record of scoring heavily at the top of the order.

His T20 value extends beyond runs. Du Plessis can control the tempo of an innings, shift gears rapidly against spin or pace and provide high-level leadership, while his athletic fielding remains an important part of his overall contribution.
