Romario Shepherd

Romario Shepherd is a right-handed batting all-rounder who bowls right-arm fast-medium and has been selected for West Indies’ five-match T20I series against India. The Guyanese cricketer has built a reputation as a powerful lower-order hitter and a useful seam-bowling option, making him a versatile member of the Caribbean side. His experience in international T20 cricket and franchise competitions gives him familiarity with different conditions and high-pressure situations. Shepherd’s ability to influence a match with either skill adds depth to a West Indies squad that is looking to develop a strong T20 core ahead of the 2028 T20 World Cup.

With the bat, Shepherd is capable of producing quick runs through aggressive strokeplay, particularly when operating during the middle and death overs. His bowling can also provide important breakthroughs or allow the captain to rotate the specialist bowlers, while his athletic fielding adds another avenue for contribution. The series against India moves from Lucknow to Ranchi, Indore, Hyderabad and Bengaluru between October 6 and 17. For fantasy cricket, Shepherd’s all-round role makes him an intriguing option because runs, wickets and catches can all contribute to his points tally, especially if he is given a substantial role in the playing XI.
